These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website (the “Site”) and any online ordering, intake, or client portal features offered by California Legal Express, LLC (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

We provide legal support services including, but not limited to: process serving, court filing support, e-filing, document retrieval, skip tracing, and courier services (collectively, “Services”). We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

By accessing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you are using these Services on behalf of a law firm or business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. We may update these Terms at any time; material changes will be notified via the Site or email.

We exclusively provide services within the State of California.

• Process Serving: Our standard fee covers up to three (3) service attempts at a single address. Additional addresses incur additional fees. We provide standard signed declarations upon completion but do not guarantee successful service.
• Court Filing & Fees: We act as support, not the court. We are not responsible for clerk rejections. We may advance court fees on your behalf, subject to a $25.00 convenience fee per filing.
• Same-Day Service: "Same-Day" filing refers to a 24-hour turnaround from the time the order is submitted, excluding holidays.
• Skip Tracing & Retrieval: We do not guarantee data accuracy or document availability. Fees paid to government agencies are non-refundable.

• No-Refund Policy: Due to immediate labor allocation and third-party costs, all sales are final. Once an order is placed, no refunds will be issued.
• Late Payments & Collections: In the event of non-payment, the client agrees to pay a $600.00 collection fee, plus any additional legal fees or third-party expenses incurred by the Company to retrieve the balance.
• Subscriptions: Standard recurring plans are not offered. Recurring services are available only upon special request and governed by a separate agreement.

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from the Company:

• Transactional: Automated updates regarding order status and delivery notifications.
• Marketing: Occasional promotional advertisements. You may opt out at any time by replying "STOP".  
• By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you are agreeing to receive SMS messages from California Legal Express, LLC. This includes SMS messages for account notifications, marketing. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. See privacy policy at https://californialegalexpress.com/privacy-policy. Message HELP for help. Reply STOP to any message to opt out 

• Authentication: Access is secured via email and password. We do not currently utilize two-factor authentication (2FA).
• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You use the portal at your own risk and acknowledge that no system is 100% secure.

At the sole choice and discretion of California Legal Express, LLC, any dispute arising from these Terms or Services may be required to be resolved through binding arbitration (governed by AAA or JAMS rules) rather than in court.

• Company Election: The Company reserves the right to compel arbitration for any claim brought by a customer.
• Class Actions: This clause does not exclude your right to participate in or bring a class-action lawsuit in a court of competent jurisdiction.

The Site and Services are provided "As Is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Service in question within the 90 days preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If arbitration is not elected by the Company, the exclusive venue for any legal proceedings shall be Sacramento County, California.
