California Legal Express, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the California Legal Express ("CLE") platform for process serving and court filings. This page explains our SMS text message program: how you opt in, what messages you'll receive, message frequency, charges, and how to opt out.

HOW YOU OPT IN

You opt in to receive SMS messages from California Legal Express when you (1) create an account at app.californialegalexpress.com and provide your mobile phone number, AND (2) check the SMS consent box during account registration or when submitting a service request.

The opt-in checkbox during registration reads: "By checking this box, I consent to receive SMS text messages from California Legal Express at the phone number provided, including service updates, job assignments, delivery confirmations, and customer support communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

TYPES OF MESSAGES YOU WILL RECEIVE

Service updates: status changes on your service-of-process requests (filed, assigned, attempted, served, completed).

Job assignments (for process servers): new job notifications and assignment details.

Delivery confirmations: confirmation that documents were successfully served.

Customer support communications: replies to support inquiries you initiate.

We only send transactional messages related to your account and active service requests. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

MESSAGE FREQUENCY

Message frequency varies. Most clients receive between 1 and 5 messages per service request, depending on case activity and the urgency of the service.

COST

Message and data rates may apply. California Legal Express does not charge for SMS messages, but standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply based on your plan.

HOW TO OPT OUT

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all California Legal Express SMS messages. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. To opt back in, reply START, YES, or SUBSCRIBE.

PRIVACY

Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data will never be sold, rented, shared, or transferred to any third party for marketing, promotional, or affiliate purposes. Mobile information collected through SMS opt-in is excluded from sharing with all third parties (including subsidiaries, affiliates, and partners) for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS opt-in are used solely to deliver the service notifications described above. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle personal information.

SUPPORTED CARRIERS

Our SMS messages are supported on all major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
